LUCKY BAVET

One of our most vintage-y restaurants is the one in Kortrijk where our muse is Morris aka Maurice De Bevere: the spiritual father of Lucky Luke! Morris was a cartoonist, comics artist and illustrator from Kortrijk, who found the American Wild West and the adventures of the historic Dalton Gang wildly exciting. He gained world fame with his comics about Lucky Luke. Of the 66 albums he made, more than 278 million copies were sold worldwide! Kortrijk was as impressed as we were and appointed him an honorary citizen. We find Morris’s imagination and big dreams very inspiring. Our goal? Serve spaghetti as fast as Luke could shoot (which was twice as fast as his own shadow). #ambitious

“I’m a poor lonesome cowboy and a long way from home.” – Lucky Luke

“Well, hop in our restaurants and have some spaghetti, Luke! You’ll feel right at home with us.” – BAVET
