In the city of Mechelen, we find the ‘Maneblussers’. We’ll explain that nickname another time over a bowl of spaghetti. Anyway, Carry Goossens is one of those! He acquired recognition in the 1990s in collaboration with comedy duo Gaston & Leo, as well as for his solo talents in acclaimed Flemish sitcoms, such as F.C. De Kampioenen and Lili & Marleen. As we serve real Belgian spaghetti at BAVET, we felt like such a legendary actor deserved a spot on our wall! Carry got famous later in life, proving that the best things simply take time. Just like good spaghetti.

You can buy the paper gift vouchers in all of our restaurants.
We don’t accept cash in-store. This decision is made for several reasons such as:

3. Transparency in our transactions
Due to hygienic reasons, we can’t allow dogs or any other animals inside our restaurants. Of course we’d love to welcome them on our terrace!
You’re always welcome at BAVET, whether you’re in for a good spaghetti or you’re just very thirsty.. We’re happy to welcome you! Nevertheless, during lunch- or dinnertime, our managers can mention that it’s too busy to allow an ‘only drinking’ table.
